That framing is misleading — and harmful.

Most people don’t struggle because they lack willpower. They struggle because they’re trying to manage a complex health condition without systems.

Willpower fails when:

  • You’re tired

  • You’re rushed

  • You’re traveling

  • You’re relying on memory instead of structure

Systems succeed because they reduce decision fatigue.

Gluten-free living becomes sustainable when the environment supports it — when routines, tools, communication, and expectations are aligned.

This is why perfection isn’t the goal. Consistency is.

If you’re just getting started, focus less on “doing everything right” and more on understanding what actually matters.
